Main Lodge

Camp Homewood's main lodge is known as "Rivendell". On the main floor, Rivendell has a large meeting room with a stone fireplace and a grand piano. The dining room adjoins this large room which is called the Fireside Room. On the upper and lower floors, there are dorm rooms that sleep up to 55 guests, private rooms with ensuite bathrooms, lounge areas, and table games such as ping pong, Foosball, pool, and air hockey. Rivendell has a spacious sundeck with spectacular views of Gowlland Harbour and the mountains of Vancouver Island.

Where to next?

Dining RoomOur Dining Room seats up to 200 people, and provides spectacular views of Gowlland Harbour and the mountains of Vancouver Island to the west. The only thing that surpasses the view is the quality of our food! You will love the special attention our Red Seal Chef puts into every aspect of your meal! Each menu is specially crafted to meet the needs of our guests. Special diets (gluten free, vegetarian, and allergies) will be accommodated as long as you communicate your needs in advance. Floor to ceiling windows provide ample natural light, and quilting guilds and scrapbookers typically set up shop here for a week at a time! Find out more by clicking here.
Guest HouseThe Guest House is one of our nicest facilities! The main floor kitchen, living room, 2 washrooms and 4 upper bedrooms have all been renovated, and offer a cozy, inviting space to sleep or gather. The 4 downstairs bedrooms have not yet been renovated, but offer privacy and a quiet refuge from the activity of the Lodge. The lower level has two washrooms. Each bedroom is equipped with either a queen or a double bed. The Guest House is typically used by our primary Guest Groups, but may be rented by a small group. Self-catering is an option during some parts of the year.
WaterfrontHomewood's waterfront is where fun begins! Stroll down the 350' wharf and enjoy the views as you approach almost 5,000 sq. ft. of docks. Swim in our enclosed swimming area, or take a turn on a tube behind one of our ski boats. Want to play on the water and stay dry? No problem! Why not try one of our canoes (12), kayaks (12), Stand Up Paddleboards (10), or row boats (8)? Our docks also provide moorage for our fleet of four 27' Catalina sailboats and a rescue boat. The Paddle Pound and Boat House provide storage for paddles, oars, life jackets and other equipment.
Riding ArenasOur indoor riding area. It is 120' x 80' and allows year around riding, instruction, and rodeos. The Barn, Tack Shop, & Okey Corral are located adjacent to the Riding Arena. They provide winter storage for hay, stalls and mangers for the horses, heated storage for all the tack, and outdoor instructional area.
